KATE always starts up in the extreme left-hand corner

I CANNOT MOVE NOR ADJUST ANY PART OF THE KATE EDITOR SINCE IS EXEC'S BEHIND THE UPPER BAR OF MY WORKSPACE. dOES ANYONE OF THIS FORUM HAVE ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO FIX THIS?
