kmail dbus interface: setting default transport does not seem to work for me

I try to set the default outgoing mail server from dbus, so that I do not have to do that manually whenever I switch networks with my laptop. I use

$ qdbus org.kde.kmail /KMail org.kde.kmail.kmail.setDefaultTransport MySMTPServer

but to now avail. No output appears on command line (even if I specify a non-existent transport), absolutely nothing. And, of course, the default transport does not change either.

This is KDE 4.4.6.

Any help?
