KDE 4.4 battery monitor says no battery present????

Why does battery monitor say no battery present?

Doing cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state produces the correct information.

HAL is started.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, is it just because of KDE 4.4?
