No sound in KDE, but OK in GNOME

Hello.
After some update of KDE (Fedora11, KDE 4.4.2) I lost the sound - only some noise when increasing microphone to maximum.
When I switched to GNOME for testing, everything worked fine - I can hear music perfectly.
Many thanks for any hint where to look for the problem.
