Setting font for non-KDE Qt apps

This is now officially driving me nuts: how do I set things so non-KDE Qt apps (e.g. LyX) use the same fonts as the KDE ones? I've tried qtconfig, but that only seems to apply outside KDE. (If I switch to, say, XFCE, the fonts are right, but they stubbornly refuse to change in KDE.) Somehow, somewhere, there must be a config file that needs to be got rid of; could anyone point me in the right direction?

Cheers in advance,

QC

P.S. While I'm here, I'm also having difficulty persuading rekonq to launch properly from the K menu: launched from the command line, everything's fine, but when I launch it from the menu the favourites page isn't there. The menu config claims it's launching it using the same "rekonq" command I use from the command line, so I don't understand what's going on. Anyone feel like enlightening me?
