restart button. KDE 4

Yesterday I installed for the first time Kubuntu in my computer and all worked fine but today i restarted it from the button all computers have and now I cant get it started, a screen appears and asks my username and password and then theres just a line where I can write, nothing alse. What can I do? Im using KDE 4.0 Ubuntu 8.04
