Turn off *all* effects

How do i turn off all the effects in kde4-applications? E.g. if the slow growing of the previews on bookmarks in dolphin or the slow disappearance of the old section title and appearence of the new section title in the systemsettings. I hate things being slowed artificially, it is very distracting.
