[kde 4] Using Mouse buttons to switch workspaces

Hello Communtiy,
I'd like to use two special mouse buttons to switch between workspaces. Xev recognizes them well. But I found the option in systemsettings to accept only keyboard input! Is there any hope to get that working?
I'm using KDE 4.1 RC1 by now. I had compiz in former KDE versions to do that, but I wouldn't like to have it installed here.

Hi Joe,

This page may be of help. It's a document I created about getting my laptop's keyboard recognized, but it should also point you in the right direction for attaching actions to your mouse buttons (an input device = an input device).

Cheers,
Rob

Seems like it only works for keyboard buttons.

There is no keycode for mouse buttons (just the button number).

thx for your effort
