Scanner in KDE 3.5.9

Hello,
I'm using Kde 3.5.9 with PCLinuxOS 2007.
My scanner is in use with this distribution.
But when i'm loocking into the control center of Kde, no scanner ! So, i can't use my scanner with Openoffice.

My scanner work very well with Xsan, Gimp, and other.

Can you explain me what i can make to have my scanner in tne control center of Kde ,
