I am a long time user of Kde and started using it when I first had Mandrake. Switched to xandros after Mandrake changed their name to Mandriva. After xandros stopped having a free version I started using MEPIS. When kde 4 came out and many people had issues with kde 4 I switched to xfce.
Thats my short history and now to the way I want to contribute.
I could not find this type any were on the site but to me its important to all types of software.
I am talking about feedback. Finding out what people like and what they do not like and expanding on the things that people like and fixing or changing the things they do not like. This will help make the software better for every one.
Here is my feed back starting with the things I like.
I liek the file manager (konqueror) and the reason why It has support for both sftp and ftp and I hope with kde 4.1 it still has that. I have used the file manager for gnome and it also support ftp and sftp but it is annoying in the fact it keeps opening new windows for every folder I open plus I can not type in the ftp address in the location like I can with konqueror.
Another thing I like is the Quanta as its a great html editor that I use all the time. the only issue I have is it uses tidy which is very old and a lot of newer distros do not wish to include it in their distro, Myah being one of them. To compare it to bluefish. I will say when editing a file that is on an ftp server for blue fish you have to close bluefish after saving in order for it to upload it for quanta you do not have to do that as it uploads it when you click save.
