burning on cd-RW

I use a cd-rw for my documents as a backup.
If I want to burn an extra document on my almost empty cdrw K3B asks me if it would dismiss all the documents already on the cd-rw or eject. But I would like to burn these documents extra on the cdrw, what doesn´t succeed. What do I wrong, or what should I do for this to succeed?
