switching layout

Good time of day!
So, i've KDE 3.5.9 and trying to configure .bashrc
cause i live in Russia i need use keyboard with cyrillic layout. and my problem is that sometimes i forgot to switch layout when i'm working in console. to fix this problem i want create an alias in bashrc such as
alias ыг='command_of_switching_layout && su'
in my debian lenny KDE switches layout, but i don't know with wich it does this simple thing.
can somebody promt me?)
