kppp dial up tool

yesterday I loaded debian etch kde 3.5 cd-1 on an old intel machine i have. every thing went very smooth untill i tried to set up my dial up internet. when I tried to open the kppp internet dial up tool from the start menu nothing happens. its like its not there. I'm new with debian so am at a loss . need some advice thanks
