KDE4 Task/Menu bar...

I've just tried out KDE4 (4.0.2) on Gentoo... Visually, it's pretty nice. Nicely rendered fonts etc. However...

One or two problems...

The new interface seems to be pretty resistant to working with a dual monitor setup... It seems to choose a screen it wants to use for all icons, menus, taskbar etc, and keep to it... No matter how much I try I can't seem to get icons or the taskbar to move to my MAIN screen instead of the one on the left that holds my status/monitoring apps... In fact dragging an icon, they just disappear when the pointer moves from one screen to another... And the taskbar will only left me set it to one of the 4 sides of my small monitor...

Then there's the taskbar itself. In KDE3 I could move the applets around, drag & drop them where I wanted. In KDE4 they seem to add to the RHS and stay there... In fact I managed to accidentally delete the 'start' menu... And when I got it added back, it's on the RHS... But I want it on the left... How do I get it back there? I don't seem to have a config tab for it like KDE3 did...

The clock... When I click on it the calendar that pops up is very nice looking... But wheras the clock is on the RHS... The popup is on the left... Similarly at the moment the 'start' menus open at the TOP of the screen instead of directly above the menu itself in the taskbar... Bug? Or config? Or by design?

Oh... i'm running the latest nvidia proprietary drivers (169.something) on a Geforce 8600GT card (256MB of RAM).

TIA
Hamish.
