I want to get rid konqueror because I don't like it. I like firefox for the internet and a separate file manager on witch I have not decided on. I hate how windows has everything integrated into explorer and media player, I don't like it's encrypted files ether. So in all I want konqueror (aka explorer) off. And no kde 4.0 is not an option but I like how it uses dolphin, I don't like its XP/Vista start menu

if some one can tell me what all it is tied into and where.I have slackwear 12 on my new computer which is a K9N SLI Platinum and it has taken me a year to get linux on it. I will not use windows. so not until the distributions put out there last updated copy I was not able to install linux, so me and my computer have been out of commission for a year. I don't remember how I did it in fedora core 1 on my old computer 2-4 years ago and all that data is gone. so don't tell me it can't be done. I didn't like it crashing then and I still don't like it crashing. Just refresh my memory!
