The multimedia keys not works

I have a notebook hp pavilion dv1000 with multimedia keys.

I user these keys for volume. (increase, decrease mute)
In kde 3.5 and gnome these woks but in kde 4.0.2 no.

I use ubuntu 7.10.

How i can do?
