Display/Desktop Effecta

i recently installed KDE 4.0 and i was messing around with the appereance and i Enabled all desktop effects. now when i log on it has a black screen and when I move the mouse the cursor freezes up then unfreezes i dont know how to fix this besides remove and reinstall. Is there possibly an easier way to do this?
