Random icon background size?

Hi guys,

first of all I must say I use kde, because I tried kde and gnome and I feel more at home with kde. No other reasons, sorry.

There is one reason I do not feel at home with kde4 for the moment (You all did a great job by the way, taht's why I am confident in the future) : the random size of the icons background. It is random for me, as it depends on the length of the icon name.

Is this a feature? A leftover? Or did I screw my configuration?
