monitor goes blank in 3.5.8. Monitor stays on in 3.5.7.

Hello,

I'm using Kubuntu with KDE 3.5.8 on my Desktop PC.
My issue is that the monitor/screen goes blank after a couple of minutes of not using the PC.
I searched for the setting so I can change the power options to not blank the monitor.
But, I can't find that setting.

What I did find are:

My current setting under "System Settings -> Monitor & Display-> Power saving" is:
Enable power saving is not checked.

My current setting under "System Settings -> Desktop -> Screen Saver" is:
Start automatically is not checked.

So, I can't find any setting to tell KDE 3.5.8 to keep my monitor on all the time.

I'm also using 3.5.7 (on another PC) and using the KDE Control Center I can keep the monitor on all the time:
"Control Center-> Peripherals -> Display -> Power Control":
Enable display power management is not checked.

If you can offer any suggestions that would be welcome.

Thank you.

Brian
