Problems with KDE 4

Since I've been using KDE 4 I've noticed quite a bit of problems, The major ones I've seen are: Whenever I open the trash it says something like "malformed URL" and closes the program. The Network Icon does the same thing as the trash can. Finally, I cannot connect to the internet, I've only managed to connect once, after I run sudo apt-get install kde4-core. Can somebody help me please?
