After since long time I compiled programs and builded packages, and distributed a distro first to friends only, recently I begun to put it in internet for general download and use.

The intention of my distro is, to make a big step forwards with the "everybody" usability of Linux. I observed since long time the reasons, why the population refuses Linux, and in my distro I want to improve these items RIGOROUSLY. This begins already with the name: SYS Linux. Because when the people tell about computer, op system, no matter which one, install CD, they often speak sys, where is the sys cd etc, so this can become a sinonyme my Linux for sistem and vice versa, and it is certainly one of the most easy, obvious designations for make it easy.

With the realization of this, I'm still at the beginning, but I think two import steps I did already: a) the instalation asks NOTHING and is completely automatical , b) it has a most-easy tool for make an internet connection via pppoe (nowadays 95% of the connections by the population and W$-users is that). Because one problem is: Linux has thousands of high-quality internet tools -- but (with exception of Kurumin) there is no distro with which a beginner get working a connection !!! All network managers and whatever, don't do this simple work -- first trying a connection asking NOTHING (when the person had before W$ and pppoe is running in the modem-router, then there is not necessary any information from the user, eth0 and the modem on it, the computer has to find alone), and only when this has no success (p.ex. a modem which never was connected, or one which runs only as bridge) then ask username/password by the provider - but nothing else.

Actually, I do an availation of the packages what I continue to carry and to support. One of the most important ones is the desktop manager. My politics of maximal simplesness includes also the administration.

Unfortunately, there is a big problem with KDE. The compilation and packaging don't fits the standards. This is: ./configure --prefix=/usr ; make --destdir=... ; make install . Packagers and users which want to make own packages, have no time to read long install instructions individually for each program, only because the programmer/author dont' want to respect the standards. Iself don't accecp / compile / pack such packages. Even when a program is more complicated, like perhaps a window manager, then the authors can make an interface that it can be compiled / packed by this normal rules.

I wanted to know, from the developers of KDE, if for KDE 4, probably finally released in two weeks, will have such a facility to compile / pack the sistem by these standard instructions. Otherwhise I throw it out from my distro, and fix me in using Gnome.
