Fonts should form ligatures

Hi,

The Unicode standard includes some ligatures. The Unicode FAQ says that if a modern font has a ligature for two characters, such as "ff", it should form a ligature &xFB00; if present in the font. There are plenty of ligatures in Unicode.

This would give [KDE] an advantage over other operating systems. At least in the typographic realm.
