[Kopete] Receiving empty message notifications

Hi,

In my setup (Ubuntu Dapper Drake) I use Kopete as an ICQ (and ICQ only) client.
I receive empty message notifications. I mean the balloons. It says something like: XXX has sent you a message "". I found out it's the 'I am away' and 'I am back' notification.
My question is: how do I silence these notifications without loosing the notifications of 'real' messages?
