Contact & Categories

When entering a new contact and going to categories I am unable to add a new category.
I can click edit and then add after selecting categories and fill in my New Category. when I apply it the list goes back to a line reading "New Category " instead of inserting my new choice.

New category, Kontact

KDE 3.5.8 release 33.2
Version 1.2.4 (enterprise 20071221.751182)
openSUSE 10.3

I am having the same issue. Once the mail and addresses / messages were imported, I went to setup "New category" like . . . MdClients, BioCorp. BioOrg, but all I get is "New category" I can change it but as soon as I click apply, it reverts back to "New category".

If you have found the answer I would like to know what it is.
