KDE fails to successfully launch

Well, I fixed my other problem (can't get KDE into the dtlogin -> Options -> Session menu on x86 Solaris 9). I ran the install-dtlogin shell script that I found in the /opt/sfw/kde/dtlogin directory. That put KDE into the Session menu for me. However, now when I select KDE from that menu, telling dtlogin to launch KDE as my desktop (instead of CDE or Gnome), KDE tries to launch, fails (without any errors that I can find), and takes me right back to the dtlogin screen. I'd like to get KDE working, so I could really use some assistance.

I experienced same problem. (Mandriva 2008, kDE4 rc1 installed in /opt). KDE4 started, but after some time, he returned to the login window X(. For now, I have no idea of what's wrong ?(.
