GPGME was compiled without support for S/MIME

All:

I just finished compiling KDE v3.5.7 on FC7 using Konstruct. I'm trying to see if Kmail has support for S/MIME. I get the following message when I rescan for crypto backends:

GPGME was compiled without support for S/MIME.

What could I have missed during the compile that would cause this to happen?
