Enforcing code style with Kate?

I wonder if there is any way to make Kate enforce code style, or at least enforce indentation. I am used to emacs where I just press 'tab' on a line to make it 'properly' indented according to the rest of the code. Pressing 'tab' a second time has no effect since the line is then already properly indented. In Kate, pressing 'tab' a second time indents the line even more.
