Konqueror won't start after power surge / shutdown

My computer just took a power surge at the office because of construction work going on. Even though I have a UPC on this and all my servers, they all went down in a New York second and did an automatic reboot.

Now Konqueror won't start on my Mepis box. The icon bounces around then goes away leaving a process hanging each time.

Running release 3.5.3

I've tried running from the command line but I get no feedback or error messages.

I've grepped through /var/log/*. Nothing.

I've reinstalled Konqueror using "aptitude".

I've rebooted 3 times.

I can't get any kind of feedback to try to run this problem down.

Suggestions anyone?

Thanks.

RE: Konqueror won't start after power surge / shutdown

OK. 30 minutes after starting Konqueror, it popped up!!

After initiating Konqueror, I had time to come to this website. Try to post. Had to recover my password. Wait for the Kde-Forum email to arrive. Log back in after the email came back. Make my post. Got back to work and all of a sudden Pow!, Konqueror pops up.

Don't know either why or how, but it works.

Chalk this one up to the computer gods and Murphy's Law, I guess. "The car never starts until you call the mechanic".

Cheers!
