[Kopete] How to disable typing notifications?
Hello,
My question is very simple: is it possible to turn off typing notificatiions in Kopete? I really don't care about when my contacts typing messages and I don't want my client (Kopete) notifies anyone when I typing my messages. Can't find options to achieve this behavior.
I'm not sure what you're saying is possible... Typing notifs are global in MSN, WLM and Kopete's MSN (dunno about the other protocols). But it's just in the statusbar anyways, what difference does it make?

The point is that some of my friends complain of annoying info-messages like "Alisher is typing..." They said my Kopete sends a lot of info-messages. When I use Miranda under Windows I can turn off typing notifications completely. So, this is client option and it should be configurable at client-side then (I thought).
Hmm. I never got to see how Trillian handles typing notifs, so from what you're saying I understand that Trillian shows them differently?
I think you should make a wish in the wishlist for this feature (: I'll sign it if you linke me.
I didn't talk about Trillian. My friends use QIP (only friends that complain about problem). Actually, I don't like QIP and don't know how it shows notifications.
Another question: how to make a wish at the Kopete project's wishlist?
