Error Message Interpreter Wanted . . .

Good Day All . . .

The attached graphic error message appears twice on KDE startup.

I just installed Kubuntu 7.10 and I am having trouble having root recognised by a few programs such as konqueror and dolphin.

I modify advanced feature to run as a different user - root but this is generally ignored and I enter ar a user.

This is above my knowledge level. Does anyone have any ideas how I can track down the cause of the error?
