Preloading applications

Hi all,

I am using Kubuntu for private and Windows at work.
I am using then Google Desktop or Copernic to search in my folders,...

I am using Kfind now but I find it a bit slow to launch.
I mean with Google Desktop or Copernic you can straight type in the taskbar and launch the search, whereas with Kfind you fist have to wait a bit until it is launched and then you have to type your search.

Is not it impossible to pre-launch Kfind so then it is starting quick, as Konqueror which is preload in background, ready to start ?

Any ideas ?
