[Kopete] MSN Crashes Kopete

[Kopete] MSN Crashes Kopete

EDIT: Fixed it by deleting contactlist.xml.



Every time I open Kopete and sign in, Kopete is crashed by MSN. Below are from the crash handler. I removed quite a few "no debugging symbols found". Any help?

"The application Kopete (kopete) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV)."

Just to confirm, this happens to me too, running Kopete 0.12.7 on Kubuntu 7.10 and KDE 3.5.8 32-bit.

Deleting contactlist.xml from ./kde/share/apps/kopete does not appear to help.

yeah, I've been using GAIM because Kopete has been broken for a few days. I'm not sure what happened.

What distribution are you using? There's a bug reported for Ubuntu Gutsy: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/GutsyGibbon/ReleaseNotes
