Panels/windows opening in background

Hey there,

I am using VNC with KDE 3.2 to view an application called HPOV.
The problem I am having is that when I select an object in HPOV and use the menu options from the menu bar, the new panel/window that displays the result will always open in the background. when I need to have them open in the foreground.

Do anyone know how I can get around this problem
