Cannot Remove Mac-Style Panel

I was experimenting with the KDE panel that can be turned on to look and act like a mac style panel, the one that changes per application and displays the file, edit, view, etc. I decided I do not like it, however I cannot get rid of it. When I right click it the remove panel option is grayed out. I've done a few google searches and cannot find a way to remove it. Any help would be appreciated.

Right-click on the desktop, select Configure Desktop, then in the Behavior options, set the Menu Bar at Top of Screen to None.
