Cursor Placement

I am new to Kmail and Linux so forgive me this probably basic question. Nevertheless, here it is. I use many templates to compose emails and am having some trouble setting them up. For example, I want to create a template with the To: and Subject: fields populated with information that I enter. I do not want to re-enter them each time. Then, I want to postion the cursor at a particular point in the body of the email. The templates I have created so far all want to default to a second To: line rather than at the cursor position.
