Error opening PDF files

When I first began using Linux and KDE earlier this week I was able to open PDF files in Konqueror.

At some point I asked KDE to use KPDF to open PDF files. Since then I tried to change it back so Konqueror would open PDF files in stead.

I did that by ->Control Center->KDE Components->File Associations. Then I selected pdf from the application menu in Known Types. In the General tab of the Application Preference Order is "KPDF" only. In the Embedding tab I have Use settings for 'application' group checked. And an "X" for Ask whether to save to disk instead. In the Services Preference Order is KGhostView.

The error when opening PDF files in Konqueror:
Error:
KDEInit could not launch '/mydocs/a...books/u10.pdf'.

Thank you for your time and help.

Hi,

Have you check your pdf files? Maybe the file is corrupt or something. If necessary. I think you can try a utility called Advanced PDF Repair to repair your PDF file. It works rather well for my corrupt PDF files. Its web address is http://www.datanumen.com/apdfr/ Hope this is useful.
