Before someone deletes this as trolling let me explain!
I use Linux at work, but only at the command line. Recently, I've installed Ubuntu on my laptop ant it uses GNOME. I really like how GNOME looks with thin title bars and sharp, un-rounded corners, just like (or better than) XP's classic style.
However, I can't seem to be able to configure it as much as I would like. For instance, I like to keep the desktop panel vertically on the right side, about an inch thick, as I usually have a lot of windows open. (I know there are better ways, using workspaces and tabs and what-not but this way suits me.) I wasn't able to configure GNOME to do that without it looking horrible.
I've read that KDE is way more configurable, so I'm thinking of installing it. I've looked at screenshots, but I don't really like the way it looks with thick title bars and rounded corners. So my question is: can KDE be made to look like GNOME. Do themes/styles exist that do this?
Thanks,
