Where Might I Find Lists of Programs
Greetings,
Where might I find lists of programs that are included in meta-packages?
For example I want to install Kontact which I know includes KMail and Kaddressbook but I do NOT want the entire kdepim meta-package because it installs a lot of stuff I don't need and will not use.
Some of these meta-packages I've been able to noodle out by using Synaptic and seeing what is listed as dependencies but there are some meta-packages that are not listed. An example is kdebindings . . . what programs are in this meta-package? How can I make a decision as to whether or not I wish to install it if I don't know and can't find out which packages it contains?
I've been over and over kde.org and kde-apps.org and haven't found what I'm looking for yet. I also realize that sometimes we miss the things that are right under our noses.
I am currently using Kubuntu 7.04 which installed a dummied-down version of KDE 3.5.6. I want KDE without Kubuntu and so I am getting the list of programs together that I will need to do a KDE installation from a Command-Line install of Ubuntu.
Thanks for any and all assistance!
Peace,
Gail
