Group Similar Tasks "Always" and konsole
Please help! I googled this around and still cannot find anything remotely describing my problem. I run Fedora 7 with kde-redhat 3.5.7 packages and recently my konsole no longer follows the policy of always group on task bar. No matter how many windows I open they keep piling up and expand taskbar hiding everything else. Yet all other apps behave fine. I don't have any custom policy for konsole window or app within my account and switching to use root and starting clean kde session (was gnome by default) didn't help. Problem still exists.
What setting can I change to return to normal grouping behavior?
RE: Group Similar Tasks "Always" and konsole
I'm seeing the exact same behavior. It's really an unfortunate annoyance. I'm running debian sid. Any ideas would definitely be appreciated.
Same behavior here in Kubuntu, although I can't recall that they were grouped together before anyway.
Workaround? Use tabs in Konsole instead of opening new Konsole windows. Might be easier. Or better yet, use Yakuake.
OS: Kubuntu 6.06 LTS (Dapper Drake) | KDE 3.5.3
Computer Specs: AMD Sempron 2200 1.5Ghz | VIA KM266 Pro 8235 chipset | nVidia GeForce MX 4000 128MB DDR-RAM 32-bit AGP 8x
Well it is good to know I am not alone. Yet using yakuake is not an option. There should be a solution somewhere.
