New wireless management?

Im wondering if there will be a new wireless managment system for kde4, knetworkmanager has a lot of problems, and i was hoping kde4 could have some kind of frontend to ifup but yet allow users to connect to wireless, Here are some features that would be nice:

WPA
Auto-Connect (Rembers password via text file, no wallets)( user could by prefernce have a prompt for his/her wallet password to connect, but still have an option to auto connect, for instance, a desktop that is using a wireless connection in a home, that should be able to auto connect, but still be able to be managed by a good gui.
Refresh/ scan: this feature is lacking in knetworkmanager, so the user must wait for a extended period of time for it to look for networks

It would be nice if such a thing had a tray applet, and mabe a extention to the filemanager, with network://

Thanks, I just cant wait for kde4 :)
and the alphas are lovely, looks much cooler :)
