startkde by startx

Hello,

I have Fedora Core 5, and I boot it without X (I have initdefault 3 in /etc/inittab). Then I run the startx script from /etc/rc.local.
startx automaically begins Gnome, and I do not know where it does that.
I need KDE (it is better, and in particular supports VNC). How can I force startx to run startkde instead of Gnome ?

Thanks

RE: startkde by startx

Hey, double posting is not nice.

Put 'exec startkde' into your .xinitrc.
If this file does not exist in your home directory just type:

echo 'exec startkde' > .xinitrc

and tap Enter.
