Konqueror Does Not Display .nef Preview

Konqueror Does Not Display .nef Preview

Hi,
I recently upgraded from Mandriva 2006 to 2007. Konqueror used to display thumbnail previews of my .nef files (RAW Nikon Camera Images). I have KDE & Konqueror version 3.5.4 (I don't remember the previous version from 2006). I installed (not upgraded to) 2007, but I did preserve my home directories.

I have "Previews & Metadata" set to 20 Meg, my files are around 10 Meg.

I think this probably has more to do with images/x-raw than anything else. This would preview in Konqueror from Mandriva 2006.

They do not show up in "Preview In" -> Image View

but they do show up in "Preview In: -> Gwenview, Embeddable Image Viewer & Kview

They also work in The Gimp.

So I am pretty sure that I have all of the required packages.

...it's very difficult to figure out what the pictures are, without the preview!

Any help is very much appreciated.
