KDE Login - failed login delay time and account lockout

Hello,

I'm trying to configure my KDE login to lock user accounts that have five consecutive login failures. I've already attempted this through yast2 -> security and users -> local security, but it has no affect. I've also modified the /etc/default/login file which also seems to have no affect on KDE logins. I can enter the wrong password many many times and the login prompt is never delayed nor is the account locked.

If it is possable to lock an account, is there a way to only lock the account for only 15 minutes?

Is KDE PAM aware? If so, what is the /etc/pam.d/ configuration file?

I'm running Open SuSE 10.1 x86_64 kernel 2.6.16.27-0.9-smp

Thanks in advance,

Rob
