kde hosed

Hi,

I managed to hose my KDE :( I'm running Kubuntu 6.10. KDE still comes up, but the kicker is reduced to only two few icons (show desktop, bookmarks) and I do not appear to add stuff to it. Moreover, everything looks more or less gnome like (I did not want to say ugly).

Heavy hint: I was farting around with qt3 since I wanted to install libqt3-mt-dev, which the system would not let me. So - knowing very little indeed about the make-up of KDE - got rid of most qt3 items in adept.

I have since installed more or less all qt3 packets adept lets me install, but this has not improved the situation. What other packages are needed to render KDE properly?

Many thanks in advance!
running on Debian Etch

try if this helps:
Rename the directory ~/.kde to something else, and restart your session into KDE.
