real desktop sharing

I have an idea about actually being able to share a virtual desktop with your friends.

You would have your screen shared in a way that enables both participants to drag their applications on to the shared virtual desktop. Both users should be able to use their specific applications at the same time or alternately let the other user control it.

This would make a "real" desktop sharing solution and not only an application for viewing.

What do you guys think of this?

Hmm, i don't find it usefull :)

What you want is one of the key features of X Window: X-clients (applications) can send their uitput to multiple local or remote X-servers and vice versa.

And with the desktop sharing tool of kde (wich by the way runs on vnc), you can not only view a remote desktop, but also operate it.

Letting 2 persons work in 1 application window at the same moment: can't think of a situation where that could be handy.
