Screen resolution problem

Hi all
i want to report on a screen resolution problem
when i change the resolution to 800*600, the windows arenot displayed correctly (see attached pictures)...If u see the pictures attached, u will notice that part of the text is missing and there is no way to view that text (i have already tried to maximize) except to increase resolution

In the print picture attached, there should be the "print" buttom displayed...but i cant see it because of the resolution

i hope u could solve the problem soon

And do not blame me of choosing that high resolution....i was forced to do this because the font in certain programs (opera, wine, xine,ie6,google earth) is too small and cant be changed

Hi,

First of all, this is an user <-> user forum, not a user <-> developer forum. If you want to report problems with kde, you can do it at http://bugs.kde.org

it looks like the minimum screen resolution for kde is 1024 x 768, choosing smaller resolutions makes the windows too big for the screen.
You can still navigate through the windows by dragging them with Alt+left mouse button.

You can make the fonts of every application larger, but sometimes it's hard to figure out how.
For opera and google, you can look for qtconfig.
For gxine, you can change the settings of GTK (some distributions offer it in kcontrol, with others you need to configur gtk directly).
wine should be done in it's configuration file i guess..
