Multiple windows in kontact?

I run kontact, which runs my kmail, calendar and address book etc. However, it displays only one of them at a time. How can I make a calendar window and a kmail window appear simultaneously? (I do know about making one message appear in a separate window).

Thanks.

Finally, if this info is already somewhere, please tell me where. I looked in several places w/o success.

you can start them outside of kontact, e.g. call kmail, korganizer, kaddressbook from the commandline or your kmenu.

The only suggestion I can give you is: don't use Kontact. Instead, run KMail and KOrganizer.
