hello,
when i first started using linux i always used KDE, but somewhat recently switched to xfce4, because i really like the panel configuration options. I just installed vector linux soho 5.1, which uses kde, and i realized i do still preffer kde, for the extrodinary amount of things you can do with it. I am really interested in having two panels though.
specifically
i like to have my windows that are open and my pager on a permanent panel at either the top or bottom of the screen, spanned 100% across the whole thing.
i like to have my k button and other program launching icons and monitors on an auto-hiding panel on the left side or top of the screen, that stretches as big as necessary
is there any way to do this? though i have been dabbling in linux for over six months, i have not really used it, as i cannot get everything on my ultra-finicky laptop to work under any one distro, and have spent countless hours installing and attemptiong to configure many many different distros, thus i am still somewhat of a newb.
thanks for any help you can offer,
benjamin
