Screen turns black and white, minute detail

Why the black and white Windows shutdown?
I am a happy Linux user, why not a happy colorfull shutdown?

RE: Screen turns black and white, minute detail

I don't know. Someone liked it and implemented it. That's open source.

Soberness

I understand the concept of open source to a certain extend.
I have a distribution with a first time configuration for KDE, where I can disable some screen effects.
Happily there is not a very long list of screen effects and I do not have to spend 10 minutes to configure. I am not lazy, I am 'efficient'.
The screen effects of KDE do not give a busy look yet.
Soberness and selection can be nice. Sometimes less is more.
